I'm almost caught up on blogging! Yippee!
Anyway, yesterday we were invited to go swimming with our friends the Nuttalls from our complex.
Lizzy's aunt and uncle live in Cottonwood Heights and have their own pool.
Lizzy's uncle is a dermatologist and from the looks of his house, a very successful one.
The kids and I had a great time.
I'm crossing my fingers that we get invited again.
Sean was at mutual last night so that meant I had Eli duty full time,
so I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked.
But here are the few that I did take.
You can access the backyard from either side of the house.
One side has a man made staircase made out of stones that a little stream and waterfalls run next to.
It was impressive.
Their yard was huge!
This isn't even half of it.
(I took a lot of pictures of the yard to show Sean since he wasn't there.)
A fire pit and seating made out of stones.
Here's part of the house.
I felt a bit like a creeper taking all these pictures.
And the pool.
It had a shallow bench area where Eli could walk.
Once you step down from that it gradually gets deeper from about 2-3 feet to 12-16 feet.
It was heated. Really! It was the warmest pool I've ever been in. It felt like a warm bath.
And it had salt water.
It was awesome!
Lexi LOVED the water slide!
She did over and over again without stopping.
Avery never went near it, which didn't surprise me. She doesn't like her head going under the water.
I was surprised by Lexi's love for the diving board.
I thought she'd go on it but I didn't anticipate her loving it.
She didn't want to stop jumping off of it when it was time to get out.
Seth stayed at the base of the diving board
incase the kids needed help or got scared but Lexi never did.
After we swam the kids explored the yard.
If I wasn't watching Eli I would have loved to swing on one of these two story swings.
It was a really fun night!
That yard looks amazing! It is my goal in life when I finally own a house with a yard to invite apartment people over all the time. I think the lack of yard is one of the hardest parts of apartment living!
