Easter Pictures at the Temple

Yesterday we walked around the Mount Timpanogos temple grounds and I thought,
"Wouldn't it be great if we went to the temple before church and got some pictures there on Easter?"
I thought it would be such a great experience to be there
and to talk to our kids about Christ and the true meaning of Easter.
Well, it didn't go quit like I planned. The girls were dramatic about getting their hair done
and about their outfits. Also, we couldn't find one of Avery's church shoes.
And Eli was teething and by the time we left, Sean and I were just frustrated.
When we got to the temple it was really windy and no one wanted to look at the camera.
Sometimes, I wonder if it's even worth the effort to take pictures if were all miserable doing it!

I put my camera on my tripod and used the self timer.
I've just decided that with kids, I'll never get a good picture that way.
Oh well! I tried.

I can't wait for Buddy to be able to sit up. Because it will be easier for me to take pictures of him.
Also, doesn't Eli look adorable in the new outfit my mom got him.
It's from Costco and it's a 24 month outfit but it fits him okay.

Happy Easter everyone!

BYU Football Spring Srimmage Game

This morning we headed down to BYU for the annual blue vs. white spring scrimmage game.
We got to campus earlier so we could head to the University Bookstore and buy the kids some stuff.
Doesn't Eli look adorable in his hat?

Here's Eli with my cousin Cassy.

Lindsay, Cassy and Eli and Eden.
Eden got home from his mission to Panama on Thursday.
Then he drove to Utah on Friday from Ontario, CA with Cassy and my aunt Lisa.

After the game we headed onto the field to get some pictures with my cousin Devin.

Eden and Deivin with Brayke (my cousin Brandon's son).
So cute.

Siblings together again.

It's so good to see Lisa with all of her kiddo's.

Our family with Devin.

It was a fun trip.
Sunny and warm and I even got my first sunburn of the year.
Avery only tried to run away once and was bare foot most of the day.
Lexi got the BYU hat she's been wanting for months.
Eli got to wear his BYU uniform and slept on my lap most of the game.
And Sean was happy because he got to watch football.

Austin's Baby Blessing

Last weekend my in-laws came into town.
It was the second time Kristi has seen Eli and it was the first time Sean's dad met him.
We wish they could have stayed longer but we had fun with them.
One day they came over to our apartment and played games with our girls,
played at the play ground outside and we did Family Home Evening together.
I girls loved all the attention.
I didn't take any pictures the whole weekend expect at my nephew Austin's baby blessing.
Here are the pictures I took after the blessing...

Three generations of handsome, blue eyed Christensen men!

This is where eye got his blue, blue eyes from.

I love this picture of took of these two on the couch together.

Avery takes awhile to warm up.
So it was a miracle I even got her to see on her grandpa's lap.
I just wish she wasn't picking her nose in the picture!

Look at my Lexi. She's getting so grown up and more and more beautiful!

Six of the nine Christensen grandkids.
We missed you Devin, Adalynn and Lyla!

Sean got Eli to fall asleep on his lap while doing the infamous leg shake.
I just had to take a picture. I love my boys together!

Lexi was so cute just coloring while I took pictures of everyone else.

Michelle asked me to be the photographer and since I'm slow at actually get the pictures to her,
I thought I'd share some here for her to see.

Here's some close ups of little Austin.
He looked so cute in his blessing outfit.

Flashback Friday - Argentine Pigeons

When we moved into our apartment last May we had a pigeon problem.
In fact, we had a nest of baby pigeons living on our deck!
All summer we kept trying to scare away the pigeons.
I was constantly spraying them with water.
In the winter the pigeons all seemed to go away.
But now it's warm again and I'm finding myself yelling at the pigeons and spraying them again.
I HATE PIGEONS!
I've never liked pigeons.
Does anybody like them?
Thinking about pigeons reminded me of the time I went to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
All of the girls I traveled with fed the pigeons and some how they convinced me to do it too.
I made quite the scene.
Everyone in the plaza stopped to watch the crazy loud screaming gringa feed the pigeons.

Flashback Friday - Heisman Pose

Here is Aaron with Lexi in August 2008.

And here's Aaron with Eli in December 2012.

I never took a picture of Aaron holding Avery like a football.
And I didn't bother to even find a picture of Aaron holding Avery to post.
Oh well.
Happy Friday!
I'm off to the airport to pick up my hubby!

Video Post

Here's a few video's I took of Eli today.
I thought I'd share them just in case you're like me and can't get enough of this boy!

Eli is 5 Months Old Today!

It really has been 5 months since Eli was born.
That's crazy!
It's been five wonderful months.
There are no words that can adequately express how much we all love this boy.

Eli has been rolling over for a week now.
And as of today he can roll over from his belly to back from his right and left side.

Eli eats three solid meals a day.
He eats butternut squash, spaghetti squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans and rice cereal.

Eli is totally teething.
He's been extra fussy this week and has just wanted me to be held.
He's also been extra drooly.
And he hasn't been sleep so great at night either because of it.
I'm just so ready for his teeth to come in!

Avery recently started calling Eli "Buddy."
It's so cute.

Eli is getting so heavy. I know he's over 20 lbs. now.
I've started carrying him to and from the car without his car seat.
He's just too heavy in it!

Avery loves laying on top of Eli.
And every time that she does I tell her not and that that's naughty.
But then Eli always laughs and Avery let's me, "He likes it."

Whenever I'm holding Eli in one arm and anything else in my other arm he tries to grab it.
He tries to grab everything!

Lately, Avery has been telling me several times a day that she wants to go swimming with Buddy.
She will say to me, "We need to buy Buddy a swimsuit. Buddy needs a blue swimsuit.
Buddy looks so cute in swimsuit."

I think it's time to give Eli his first haircut.
When Sean gets back into town I think we're going to trim a little off the top.

I love this next picture because he totally looks like a little muscle man.
He's flexing.
Look at that definition!

Sean and I refer to Eli as my boyfriend.
It makes sense.
Eli and I are always together. I'm always kissing on kiss fat little neck.
And we spend way too much time together late at night.

I have to say one of my favorite things about Eli is his voice.
He just has the cutest voice.
I need to post my videos of him.
(I can hear my mom in my head agreeing with me.)

For fun here is the blog post I did about Lexi when she was 5 months old.

And here's the post I did about Avery at 5 months.

I offered Eli a sippy cup for the first time a month ago and he still doesn't know how to use it.
He just chews on it when I offer it to him after he eats.

And here are some picture of Eli wearing clothes...

Eli goes to bed between 6-7pm.
And every once in a while he'll wake up to nurse right before I go to sleep.
To be honest, I get excited when he does because I already miss him.

Lexi is always telling me that we have the best and cutest baby in the whole world.
And I couldn't agree more.
