Ty's Golden Birthday

Thursday May 2nd was Ty's Golden Birthday.
It was a pretty low key day.
That morning, I took Ty and Ruby to Macey's.
They got donuts for breakfast and we picked out balloons for Ty.
We also bought him a cake.

I was determined to get one cute picture of Ty with his balloons. And I did it. Barely.

Ty spent a lot of time outside playing that day.
The weather was perfect and he was in heaven.
Sean brought home pizza that night for dinner.
And later in the evening we did cake and presents.

The kids picked out a bubble blowing lawn mower for Ty.
He LOVED it.

He happily went up and down our sidewalk and around our driveway over and over.

We finally convinced him to come inside and gave him his other present.
He got several packs of Matchbox cars.
He was VERY excited.

I can't believe that my baby is two!

Provo City Center Temple and Travis's Wedding

The last weekend in April we went to Sean's cousin Travis' wedding.
He got married in the Provo City Center temple and the grounds were just gorgeous!

We got to the temple about 30 minutes early and spent that time walking around.

All the flowers were so pretty.
I just wanted to take pictures of it all.

This should be Sean's new Facebook profile picture!

Look at this tulip. It has two heads on one stem.
I've never seen a tulip like this before but they were everywhere.

I didn't take any pictures of the bride and groom or our family
because I figured that's what they hired a photographer for.

After the ceremony we took a few family pictures that we had a few hours to kill before the luncheon.
We went with Sean's brother Jared, his cousin Megan and her husband James to eat.
James and Megan took us to this little restaurant in downtown Provo.
I can't remember what kind of food it was.
It was from some Latin country. I had never had it before.
It was good but the company was even better.
We had a fun time walking around, talking and eating.
...
Here's a few pictures I took from the luncheon/ reception venue.

It was a fun day! I love Sean's Orton side of the family. It is always so fun to be with them.

Avery's 9th Birthday

Avery's birthday was on a Sunday this year.
She got up early and got dressed for church as quick as she could.
She was so excited. She knew that I was going to let her open a few presents before church.

She got a card with money from her Christensen grandparents.

Then she got Luna Lovegood glasses from my mom.
She had some from her Halloween costume but Ruby broke them.

And I got her radish earrings. Just like the ones that Luna wears.

We had a special stake conference that day.
Elder Gong came and spoke to our stake.

After church Avery got to open the rest of her gifts.

Avery got the doll hot dog stand that she's wanted for over a year now.

And she got a Lego Friends set.

We set it up that afternoon.

Per Avery's request, we had brownies and ice cream that night.

I love celebrating this awesome kid!
Avery is the best!
She is thoughtful and nurturing. She's a hard worker.
We're so lucky that she's ours!
