Ty's 2 Week and Avery's 7 Year Check Ups

These two had their check ups together. I only took them and I pulled Avery out of school early.
She was so excited to be the only kid with Ty at the doctors.
She hated it when Ty got his PKU (???) testing done.
The one were they prick their toes and to get blood out and put it on the special paper with circles.
She went out in the hall while we did that. He screamed!

Here's their stats.
Avery was 50 lbs 6 oz (49%) and 48.7 inches (67%).
Ty was 9 lbs 15.5 oz (88%) and 20.5 inches (42%).
Ty was nearly a pound bigger than his birth weight and in 3 month clothes.

Ruby's Two Week Stats

On Tuesday, Ruby turned two weeks old and had her first check up.
She was 8 lbs 9 oz (72%) and 21 inches (83%).
Supposedly at birth she was 22 inches (which I never believed).
So that means she's shrunk!
...
I have tons of pictures to share. Until I do, here's this gem I took earlier this week!

And for fun here are the blog posts I did about the other kids and their check ups at this age...

Avery's 3 Year Stats

Today, Avery had her 3 year check up.
She isn't a fan of any medical professionals near her but she did great!
And she's grown a lot (for her at least).
She is now...
28 lbs. 2 oz. (24%) and 37 1/2 inches (62%)
and her BMI is 6! She's skinny!!!
...
Last year she was 22 lbs. 8 oz.
So she gained about 6 lbs. Averaging a gain of about half a pound a month.
And at her 2 year check up she was 33 1/2 inches tall.
She she grew 4 inches this past year.
Or about a third of an inch a month.
But in all reality she just recently gained all that height.
...
She has recently gone through a growth spurt
that has made her taller and skinner.
So now it's even harder to find pants that fit her!
Some 24 month pants don't even fit her waist
but she's tall enough to wear some 4T pants.
It's a good this it's spring now and this girl loves dresses!
...
I did talk to her pediatrician about Avery's eating.
This girl does eat much in the morning (neither does Lexi)
and then she just wants to snack all day long.
I need to find some healthy, filling breakfast ideas for these girls.
Does anyone have any ideas they'd like to share?
Her doctor recommend Carnation Instant Breakfast shakes.
And told me that if I didn't give them a snack before bed
my girls shouldn't wake up hungry.
...
They checked Avery's vision and said she had 20/50 or was it 50/20.
But it's hard to know really because she wasn't really cooperating.
When they kept asking what the pictures on the chart were
(house, umbrella or apple)
she would guess, "Mushroom?" or "Heart?"
So I'll just be watching to see if she is squinting.

2 Month Stats

Eli had his 2 month check-up today.
He is happy, healthy and huge.
Eli is 24 3/4 inches (98%) and 15 lbs 11 oz (??%)
(After the nurse weighed Eli she miss entered his weight in the computer.
She put on his chart that he was just 15 lbs, which would put him in the 94%
but he's really bigger than that. Yeah, like I said, he's huge!)
Oh and his head grew too. It's 40 1/2 cm (86%).
Eli got shots today.
I had to hold him during it.
His face turned as red as a tomato and he screamed like I never had heard before.
It was really difficult for him and me.
But he stopped crying after about five minutes and then fell asleep and is still asleep right now.
When he's awake I'll hold him and kiss him and maybe taken some pictures :)
