September 2018 - Trip to the Zoo

There was a Friday in September that there was no kindergarten. And Sean wasn't working.

So we took our younger three kids to the zoo.

Ty loves elephants. He was so excited to see them.

Here he is making the elephant sound and raising his arm like an elephant trunk.

The zoo was starting to decorate for Halloween.

We found a skeleton bunny and the kids thought Lexi would like to see it.

So we took a picture.

The seals or sea lions (I am not sure which) were a big hit. They are so fun to watch swim.

The kids thought this sleeping polar bear was so funny.

The tiger was so active. He kept pacing back and forth looking at us. 

He probably thought we looked delicious.

It was a fun day and so nice to make more time with my younger kids.

May 2018 - Avery's Baptism Weekend

My mom flew in on Thursday night. We picked her up from the airport.

I'll be honest, it was emotional having her come. Because she came without my dad.

His absences was very apparent all weekend long.

We stayed up late that night and played games.

The next day we played hookie from school and went to the zoo.

If I'm remembering everything correctly, that night Jared and Val's family came.

The next day was Avery's baptism. That was first thing in the morning. 

After that we came back to our house and ate.

Then we went to Grantsville for Baby Animal Days.

After that we came back home and did a pinata since it was Cinco de Mayo.

And then we did presents and cake for both Avery and Ty.

Then we had the best Cousin Band performance that we have ever had.

They even wrote a great new song.

That night the cousins had a sleep over in the playhouse.
