August 2018 - Birthday Party for My Dad

My dad's Birthday was the last Saturday before school started.
I knew that it would be naturally a hard day so I decided to try to make it a fun day.
So I threw a party in honor of my dad.
We invited lots of our closest friends and had an all day event.
We rented the same blow up slide we got for Lexi's baptism party.
My dad loved watching the kids play on it that day.

The kids were so excited to watch Sean set it up. They could hardly wait for the party to start.

I tried to talk pictures with all the friends that came.
The Hansens came.

The Bradys came. Here's Eli with Brooke and Ruby with Paige.

The Boyers came. Here's Lexi with Mikayla and Eli with Lucy.

A few of Lexi's best friends from school came. Here she is with Carrie and Brylee.

The Greenwoods came. Here's Lexi with Madi.

Here's the group of fifth grade girls.

Michelle and Justin's Family came. Here's Avery with Halle.

The sandbox was also a huge hit.

David and Michael started a water fight with the kids. Those two brothers are big kids themselves.
I think the water fight was the highlight of the day for most of the kids.

We had a cake and sang Happy Birthday to my dad.

Ty was so tired that day. Luckily Buck and Aubrey got him to nap.

I always take lots of pictures of the kids when we get together with friends
but am not great at taking pictures of us adults.
So I made an effort to at the party.
Here we are with Court and Kenny.

And us with Michelle and Justin.

Pictures with Buck and Aubrey.

David and Chelsi moved to Tooele the week of our party.
We were so excited to have them there.

And just like that everyone was gone and we were all cleaned up. It was a great day.

July 5th 2018 - Lexi's Surprise Birthday Party

The day before Lexi's birthday, we threw her a surprise birthday party with her best friends.
She and Sean and Eli and Ruby went to Little Ceasar's to get dinner.
While they were gone, Lexi's friends came over.
When Sean and Lexi got home, they came in through the front door.
As soon as the walked in, Avery jumped out of the coat closet and yelled surprise.
They a few second later, one of Lexi's friends popped out of the bathroom door and yelled surprise.
A few seconds after that the next friend popped out of the basement door
and then another one out of the craft/ toy closet, both yelling surprise.
Lexi was so surprised and excited.
Her friends made carrot hats for everyone.

We ate pizza and then Lexi's friends gave her the sweetest gifts.

Then the girls played games and hang out.
And we finished off the night with an ice cream sundae bar.

July 2016 - Lexi's 8th Birthday

This is my third and probably final blog post of the day.
I am going to get caught up soon, hopefully.
My goal is to be blogging regularly again.
Anyway, on July 6th Lexi turned 8 years old.
Here she is having her birthday breakfast.
I believe it was bagels with cream cheese and sprinklers.
It was her idea and she thought it tasted gross.

On her birthday she got to go to her first Activity Days.
She was so excited to walk to the church with some of our neighbors.

The played water games.

That afternoon was Lexi's birthday party.
I convinced her to do an Olympics theme.
It was a lot of fun.
We had a good turn out too.
Each kid represented a different country.
Lexi was the United States and she got to carry the torch in the opening ceremonies.

 We had eight different events.

Here's the outcome of the games.

We did a closing ceremony too and award the medals.
Lexi was so excite do win a metal.

My nephew Parker really got into the games and won several medals.

Here's all the kids that won medals.

Then it was time for cake.

After the party we just hung out at home.
Here's a few pictures that I got of Lexi with her baby bunnies.

It was such a fun birthday. And I cannot believe that I have an eight year old!
