Weekend with David (June)

In June our good friend from high school, David, bought a house in Tooele.
It's going to be a rental property.
Originally his family was going to move here but his career paths are changing.
I'm really sad that the Greenwoods aren't moving here
because we would have had so much fun with them.
But we sure enjoyed our weekend with David.

Sean and David switched out all the locks.

David rented a giant van with four rows.
(He needed room for a fridge.)
So we all rode together to go out to eat.
David took us to the Rodizio Grill right on the race track here in Tooele.

My kids loved the meat and drinks.

Afterwards we walked outside to the race track.

And then we drove out to the Salt Lake.
We went down a road we've never been on before that wasn't paved and had two huge pot holes.
He hit them just after David had sped up to prove that it's a smoother drive when you go faster.
The van went flying. It was scary at the time but now we laugh about it.

The next day David joined us for dinner.
The kids had fun with him in the backyard.
I'm pretty sure they all thought of David as their new best friend.

It was such a fun weekend!

The Great Salt Lake

You can see the Great Salt Lake from our new house.
And the Marina is less than 15 minutes away.
One day on our way back from the new house, we decided to explore.
It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon.
Here are some pictures I took as we were driving along the lake.

The kids just loved running in the sand and salt.

I love trying to get jumping pictures of Lexi. She cracks me up!

This is what it typically looks like when I'm trying to get a picture
of more than one of my children together at a time...

I'm so excited for spring and summer and being able to get out and explore.
