Washington Trip 2014 - Celebrating Sam, Lexi and America's Birthday

My birthday was on July 3rd, which happened to be the day my dad had open heart surgery.
(I'll write about that in my next and final Washington blog post.)
So we celebrated with my parents early.
I wanted cookies and cream ice cream.

My parents got me some maternity shirts.

Here's a picture from my actual birthday.
Sean and the kids came to visit me at the hospital while my dad was in surgery.
We had lunch in the cafeteria.

My dad was in the hospital on Lexi's birthday so we celebrated her birthday earlier with my parents.

The morning of the 4th of July I spent at the hospital.
Then I came back to my parents.
Sean and I grilled hotdogs and ate on the deck with the kids.
Then my brother came over and he and Sean lit off some very loud fireworks.

Every year, my parents cul-de-sac light off a ton of fireworks.
Between everyone there is probably between $1000 - 2000 spent.
The kids did great. Even though the fireworks were so loud because they were so close.

I had fun taking pictures of fireworks with my new camera.

On Lexi's actual birthday, July 6th, we were at Sean's parents' house.

I can't believe our baby is six!

Here's Lexi wearing her new necklace and shoes.

And here's Lexi with her new outfit and matching doll outfit.

Ice cream cake!
