The weekend before Valentine's Day Sean and I had a date night to celebrate.
We did a nice relaxing date at home.
We made dinner together and ate by candle light and talked and relaxed.
I roasted or baked (I'm not sure what it's called) some asparagus and zucchini.
And Sean grilled some steaks. It was all delicious!
The day before Valetine's, Ruby had her class party.
She was excited to give her teacher some chocolates.
And she was even more excited to bring home all these goodies.
Although, I've decided that I'm officially over candy for class handouts.
My kids just don't need this much sugar.
And Ruby made me this.
Ruby's preschool was doing a thing where all month long, you could send in notes or little gifts
for your child to receive at school. Ruby got this stuffed unicorn from me in class.
The night before Valentine's I made chocolate covered strawberries.
This is my second year making them and they are so easy.
I also baked some applesauce muffins for breakfast.
And I set up the table for the morning.
We gave each kid an electric toothbrush and capstick. They were excited.
Here they are on the morning of Valentine's eating their chocolate covered strawberries and muffins.
Eli brought this home for me.
Isn't this Valentine's that Lexi's friend Brylee gave her so cute?
That night Lexi and Avery decided to dress up Eli and Ruby for dinner.
Per Avery's request, we had crepes for dinner.
And we ate by candle light.
Look at this cute statue that Sean and I got ourselves for Valentine's. I just love it.
