Eli can't pronounce the letter R. So he calls Ruby either "Uby" or "Wuby." It's so cute.

Ruby was laying on the couch in just her diaper.
Eli touched her nipple and said, "Button" for belly button.

Eli started referring to himself as "eye eye."
Eli started calling Avery "E D."

Sean said, "Love you" to Eli and Eli responded, "Eye you."
Now he says, "Eye you" when we say, "I love you."

Eli now loves books, or "cook" as he calls them. He loves to sit on our laps and look at pictures.

Eli learned several new words this month, although he can't pronounce them right:
girl, boy, couch, tire...

Eli used to say "neigh" when he saw any animal now he is learning that different animals have different sounds. He will make the sounds of owls, cats, sheep, goats, dogs, lions, bears and dogs.

Eli discovered his penis. Whenever he's naked he points to it and tries to say "penis" although it doesn't sound like it at all. And now he'll stick his hands down his pants and play with it.

Instead of calling dogs, "goggy" (doggy) like he used to, Eli now calls them "gog" for dog.

Eli loves Lexi's bed. He just loves being on it. When she's at school he acts like it's his.

This is the second week that I've gone into nursery with Eli.
After an hour in sacrament meeting he doesn't want to be held anymore.
So I haven't been making it to class lately.
...
Last night while Sean and I were laying in bed, Eli was awake in his crib.
He was happy.
He kept blowing bubbles and making tooting sounds with his mouth.
I was laying in bed trying not to laugh to laugh.
And he kept making those noises over and over again.
It was so funny.

Today I was eating a bowl of beef stroganoff.
Eli crawl up to my legs and was whining.
So I picked him up. He kept crabbing at my food.
So I put him in his high chair and dumped my stroganoff on his tray.
He ate it all up happily.

Today Eli pulled himself up to standing for the first time.

Today Sean gave Eli ice cream for the first time.
At first he made a really sour face like when he ate pickle for the first time.
Then he started saying, "Hmmmm."
He loved it and cried when we stopped giving him some.

It's really, real.
Eli crawls.
The real kind of crawl.
As in, he made his way from the living room,
through the dinner room and into the kitchen by himself.

Eli crawled yesterday for a very short distances
and then again today for a little bit further distance.
It won't be long before he figures it out and is all over the place.

Tonight at 5:20, Eli ate an entire big jar of baby food,
at 6:00 he ate some tatter tot casserole and peas,
at 6:40 he munched on Cheerio's while playing on the floor,
and at 7:30 he nursed on both side before going to bed.
That boy is always hungry.
...
I have said that Eli is perfect since he was born.
Although I've come to the conclusion that he has two flaws.
He doesn't sleep through the night yet (which is only an issue for me)
and since he has 6 teeth, I am often sore after nursing him (again only an issue for me).
So really, it's true, he's perfect.
And I'm so lucky that he's mine.

Before yesterday, Eli had gone from laying to sitting all by himself maybe three times total.
He had really done it deliberately.
Well as of yesterday he's done it dozens of times.
And as of two days ago he army crawls on the floor.
He is now all over the place!

We also discovered that Eli has a sweet tooth.
Thursday while we were celebrating Halle's birthday,
Eli helped himself to some cake when no one was looking and loved it.
Friday night, I was trying to eat some cheesecake while Eli was next to me.
He kept trying to grab the cheesecake so finally I gave him a few bites.
He was mad at me when I stopped.
And yesterday the girls were eating brownies and got crumbs on the floor.
Well Eli found the crumbs and by the time I realized what he had, he had just swallowed it.
And I heard him say, "mmm. num."
His first words.

Today Eli tried Goldfish crackers for the first time.
He liked them.

Today Eli ate his first pickle.
When Sean handed it to him, he instantly started eating.
Event though he was making sour faces, he didn't stop eating.

Today, I pulled Eli in a bike trailer for the first time.
He loved it.

He loved them.
He ate probably 9 of them.
And they were the jumbo sized ones.

Eli also got into sitting position from his stomach almost completely by himself.

Today was national donut day so we walked to the bakery by our house to buy donuts.
After we were sitting outside on the grass outside eating donuts.
Eli was sitting on Sean's lap.
He quickly grabbed a piece of Sean's donut and put it in his mouth and ate it so fast.
And he seemed to love it.
May 30th
Now that Eli has 5 teeth and the appetite of a 2 year old, he's wanting to eat "real" food.
So I gave him homemade pancakes for breakfast and Sean's yummy navy beans for lunch.
Eli seemed thrilled to be eating something that wasn't purred.

It's like a princess fountain but it's not water.

Today I finally bought Eli size 2 diapers, something he's needed for a while.
When I put them on I realized that I probably should have bought size 3!
I bet he'll outgrown the size 2 before he uses them all just like he did with the size 1.
