Sam's Phone Pictures from September

I just cleared all the pictures off my phone. Here are a few of the ones that I took in September.
We had a FHE lesson about the First Presidency and the Quorum of the 12 Apostles.
(It seems disrespectful that this pictures is upside down but for some reason that's how it uploaded.)

Shopping at Sam's Club.

One-on-one time with Eli while both of the girls are at school.

Eli loves the basketball court and hoop in the middle of the complex.
Probably because he frequently sees his dad playing their with all the 12 year olds.

Lexi drew this picture of her dad in Sacrament meeting.
Then she held it up high so he could see from the stand.

Eli and I played outside a lot while the girls were at school because
Avery couldn't do a lot of outdoor things with her boot and cast.

Eli and I took a trip to the library by ourselves. Going places with one kid seems so easy now!

Sean and I took turns taking Lexi to String Camp.

Sean and I went to Yogurtland after my night at String Camp.

Avery is the funniest. She just loves laying and lounging around. I found her like this one morning.

Suckers and they are instantly quiet and happy.

We go on family walks around the complex almost every night.
One day, Eli didn't want to let go of the scriptures he was looking at.
He wanted to carry them with him on the walk. He's so spiritual.

It's just too fun not to play with the costumes at Target...

Shopping at Best Buy. Sean got Chrome Cast and we love it!

Family date night at Yogurtland. We love that place!

The girls playing in my Grandpa's backyard. Look at the "Fairy Garden" in all the rocks.
The girls were fascinated by them.

Eli unsure about the car wash.

Avery just being Avery on the swings...

Lexi pushing Eli.

Wendy's. The kids were excited to each get their own water.

When Lexi saw these pumpkins she exclaimed, "Those are expensive! $99!"

Shopping at Target with Thing 2 and Thing 3.

Sean being the counselor in the Branch Presidency over Primary goes to Primary a lot.
The kids just love him. He is always doing something hilarious!

Here's Lexi at P.E. at school. Which was all in Spanish.

And here she is at running time at school. She is all smiles when I come to school every Monday.

She's just the cutest little student!

Master Bedroom Make Over

While Sean was in LA last week for work training I decided to redecorate our master bedroom.
Well I'm not sure if I can say "redecorate" because it was never really decorated before.
I wanted to surprise Sean. So I used my babysitting money and bought everything with cash.
I'm really pleased with the progress I made.
I just need to buy/ do a few more things and then it will be done.
...
I bought the curtains and curtain rods at IKEA.
I was so proud of myself for getting them hung up without Sean's help.

I bought a couple of organizational things for Sean's desk at IKEA.

I bought the lamp shade for the lamp on Sean's desk at Target.
I took down the world map and ukulele chord poster from above Sean's desk
and put up the family picture. I bought the frame at IKEA.
I also changed out Sean's computer chair. We already had this one and it looks so much better.

We already had this bookshelf from IKEA.

I bought two more bins and organized the books and put the pictures on top.

Sean already had his ukulele and mandolin hanging up.

I realized that I've never shared pictures of our room before so this post is also kinda like a tour.
The doors are to the master bathroom and closet.

I hung up the pictures of our kids on the wall.

That spot on the wall was empty before.

I bought a new bed skirt at Target.
I bought the bedding set at Sam's Club.

I bought the yellow pillow at Target and the other two at IKEA.

We have a wooden bench that is normally at the foot of our bed.
It's in our garage right now.
I want to repaint it, maybe gray.
And cover it with some bright yellow fabric.

Smart Phone

Yesterday, Sean joined joined the masses of people who have smart phones.
We had been holding out but he finally decided that he was ready to upgrade.
(I still am happy with my dumb phone.)
Sean got the Samsung Galaxy S4.
And he loves it.
And it will be helpful for him in his new calling (second counselor in our branch presidency).

I have been giving him a hard time though.
He's been wanting a smart phone for a while now
but has been telling me that our next big purchase would be a new camera.
So he really owes me. Big time.
I'm just teasing him. I really am happy for him.
But he does have to buy me a new camera ASAP.

30 Days of Thanksgiving Challenge - Going Back to School

Last week, I signed up for a photography class.
I'm going back to school!
Well, kind of.
It's a no credit continuing education class through our local community college.
It's a $75, month long class about the basic of digital SLR photography.
The only requirement for the class is that you have to a DSLR camera.
Which is perfect because Sean and I are planning on buying one for my Christmas present this year.
YAY!
HALLELUJAH!
YIPPEE!
I've been wanting a DSLR camera since before I bought my current camera.
And I've got my sight sent on the Canon Rebel T3i.

I'm hoping I can find a good deal on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
I'm so excited for this camera and so grateful to finally be getting it!
