Science Fair

The science fair project that Lexi did a few months ago (I blogged about it here)
advanced to the regional/ state competition.
It took place at Rice-Eccles Stadium and Lexi was not excited to be up at the U.

Here she is making an upside down U and sticking her tongue out. Lexi is a die hard BYU fan.

The science fair took place up on the fourth and fifth floor on the stadium. It had a good view.

Here is Lexi with her board. She competed with fifth and sixth graders.
The judging went from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm. And parents weren't allowed to stay.
During that time they brought her lunch and she stayed at her board waiting to be judged.
She ended up having to present her project to five different judges.
She didn't place but she won this award.
(All of the participates one an award of some kind.)

She was so nervous when I left her.
But when I picked her up she was happily chatting with the girl with the "Show your snow"
project next to her. Her name was Torian and she's from Park City. The two hit it off.

After, I took Lexi to Taco Bell (her pick) because she was so hungry.

Early morning science ended at the end of February and now that the science fair is over,
we are happily done with this whole extracurricular science business.
We are so proud of Lexi for all her hard work this school year!
