St. Patrick's Day

We were in the middle of a stomach bug on St. Patrick's Day.
Lexi was home sick that day and Eli was sick too.
The night before St. Patrick's Day the girls got excited for the leprechauns to come.
Lexi had wanted to make a trap but wasn't feeling up to it.
When the kids came down stairs that morning, they found the mischief the leprechauns had created and gold chocolate coins.
Eli was confused. And all the kids were excited.
They had Lucky Charms for breakfast. I only buy that cereal for St. Patrick's Day
because all my kids eat is the marshmallows.
I tried to have lots of green food at each meal.
I bought corned beef and cabbage too but we ended up waiting a few days to eat that,
once we were all feeling better.

Here's the kids in their green clothes.

My mom served an LDS mission in Ireland. While she was there she bought this dress.
I wore it when I was a baby and so did both of my older girls.

St. Patrick's Day

We had a pretty laid back St. Patrick's Day.
For breakfast the kids had cereal with green milk.
That was good enough for them.
I love that they are so easy to please.

The girls had been talking about what they'd wear for days.
Lexi was especially excited to wear green to school.

In the morning the girls noticed these little cards left outside their bedroom door. They were from leprechauns. They said that they had come to our house the night before and had intended on leaving some gold by ran out so they just played with the kids' toys instead. They said they would be back with more gold that night. The girls were so excited.

For lunch they had green mashed potatoes.

For dinner we had corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots. After FHE we had donuts and colored.

Before going to bed, Lexi made a leprechaun trap.

The next morning the girls found some candy and more cards from leprechauns.

Green Day

Today was "Green Day" at Lexi's preschool.
(Tomorrow is "Shamrock Day" at it's actually they are supposed to wear green
but Lexi told me that she wanted to wear green both days.)
I decided that it would be fun if we all wore green.
And, of course, I took pictures.
 ...
Lexi has been talking about what she'd wear for St. Patrick's Day for a while now.
This girl loves to plan her outfits.

This just happens to be one of Avery's favorite dresses.
She usually wears it everyday. As in it's one of her five outfits a day.

The kiddo's got a package today from my parents with some fun St. Patty's Day stuff.
I'm not sure who this headband thing was meant for but doesn't Eli look cute in it?

And here's Eli showing off his new shirt that my mom got him.
And he just happen to already have these green pants that I bought on clearance for $2.

The pants are 18 month size.
They fit Eli great around the waist but are about 3-4 inches too long on his short legs.
So I had to fold them up inside his pant leg.
You can really see in this next picture just how short his legs are.
See they are just as long as his torso.

And here's a picture of Eli pantless.
Hurray for "Pantless Wednesday"!

I thought I'd attempt to get a picture of my and my boyfriend (that's what I refer to Eli as).
I thought it was fun that our shirts were the same color but Eli could care less to look for a picture.

I got a picture of me and the kiddo's after we picked Lexi up from preschool.
I am not sure if I have ever had a picture of me taken with all three kiddo's before.
I think I have once. It's just too much work.
See this was the best one we got and none of the kids are even looking!
Someday I'll get a good picture of us... I hope.

And here's some of my attempts to get pictures of the three kids...

Here's the girls with some of the fun stuff they got in their package.
My parents sure know how to make holidays fun.
The girls were excited to be St. Patrick's Day Princesses.
