Friday October 16th,
just two weeks (that's right, I'm only two weeks behind on blogging now!)
was Eli's third birthday.
The night before we put streamers on his door and filled his room with balloons while he slept.
Orange is Eli's favorite color and he also likes blue.
So it looks like he's a Boise State fan.
He was excited and confused when he woke up.
When he woke up he found a flash light outside his bedroom door and a present.
He saw this car transport at Walmart a few days before his birthday (I had already bought it)
and wanted it so bad. For days he kept asking me if we'd go buy it.
So needless to say, he was really excited when he opened it.
Sean had that day off and the girls didn't have school.
So we were all home to celebrate that day.
Every few hours we'd let Eli open another gift.
He got "construction cones."
And he got some Cars - Lightening McQueen and Brand New Mater.
He also got a big plush orange blanket which he loved way more than I thought he would.
He uses it everyday and carries it to where ever he is in the house.
That morning, Eli went out just with Sean to eat and go play at the playground.
And then later that afternoon we all went to the Fire Museum (I'll do a separate post about that)
and we all went to the park again.
Eli is so friendly, he just started talking with this boy and playing with him.
And Eli calls any kids he talks to his friend.
I love his happy face!
This was Ruby's first time on a swing.
He helped me make his "Construction Site Cake."
He was soooooo excited about it.
Michelle and Justin's family came over that night for dinner and cake.
When it was time for dessert Eli kept getting upset when we dished up pieces of cake to everyone.
He wanted the whole thing to himself.
We gave him the last piece on the platter and let him play in it.
He drove his cars and pretended it was a real construction site.
He had so much fun!
It was such a fun day. And I can't believe my little guy is three!
