New Calling

Last month, Sean was extended an honorable release from his calling as
Second Counselor in the Branch Presidency.
It was just a few weeks shy of his one year mark serving.
We were both a little surprised that he was getting released.
We didn't think he'd get released until we moved.
His new calling is Assistant Branch Mission Leader. And we're both so excited about it!
When we lived in Albuquerque, Sean served as the Ward Mission Leader for a year and loved it.
That might have been his favorite calling ever! He loves missionary work.
And we loved having the missionaries in our home regularly.
In fact, that is one thing we've really missed since we moved to Utah.
So, Sean is excited to work with the Sisters in our Stake who are amazing.
And I'm so excited that he's the assistant because that means less meetings!
And he gets to sit with us in Sacrament meeting again!
This just seems like perfect timing.
He is home so much more now and will be able to help out more after Ruby is born.
Sean loved his calling and he put all that he had into it and he learned so much serving.
...
Here are some pictures of the amazing men he served with.
The First Presidency... of our Branch.
Brother Dave Davis, President Chris Dumouchel and Brother Sean Christensen.
We sure miss Dave now that he's moved. He and Sean were such buddies.
They'd play catch with each other out in the middle of the complex.
And they'd go out there in the afternoons and say hi to all the kids and play with them.
Dave is single, so he'd come over to our place and have Sunday dinners with us.
Our girls loved Brother Davis.

Sean and Dave were camping Buddies at Girls' Camp this past summer.

After Brother Davis moved Brett Sommerville was called into the Presidency.
Brett is a young guy with one kid and is in Dental School.
He and his wife Annika are awesome. And we loved getting to know them better.

And here's a few pictures I found on my phone...
Sean and Dave playing outside with all the kids.

Sean is always arranging group games. Here's one of his kick ball games.
It's so fun having all of our branch right here in our complex. It's so easy to get together.

The Primary is really going to miss Sean. He'd pop in for a bit almost every week.
And those kids got so excited when he came. Here's a few pictures from my phone.

Our girls loved it when their dad came to Primary.
I took this picture of Sean and Avery holding hands one day in Primary.

And here's a fun one of Brother Davis in Primary.

And speaking of Primary, I thought I'd mention that I just got released from teaching the CTR 4 class.
And now I'm the chair over the Relief Society Activities committee.
So if anyone has any good activity ideas, send them my way!
