Lexi's Jog-a-Thon

Last month, Lexi's school had their jog-a-thon or fun run, whatever you want to call it.
This year I went and watched. Avery and Eli came with me too.
Lexi was so excited to have us on the sidelines cheering her on.

After each lap, the kids have to get their cards marked so they can know how many laps they ran.

Lexi ran 11 laps. 10 laps equal a mile.
I was so proud of her. She never stopped! She did great.

Lexi raised $60. Her school raised $20,738!
Last year they raised less than $6,000. And their best ever was $15,000.
So this year was a huge success.
Lexi's class was the top earning first grade class. So they will get a root beer float party.
Her class raised $761.

All the kids who earned over $50 were put in a drawing for a Razor scooter.
Lexi really wanted to get that scooter.
I had to repeatedly tell her that she was getting put in a drawing and may win it
but probably wouldn't.
After the prize assembly she told me,
"Who cares if I don't get the scooter. You can just buy it for me."
