Flaskback Friday - Pam

I forgot to do a Flashback Friday post last week, so I figured I'd do two today to make up for it.
Ten years ago today, Sean's mom, Pam, passed away after a long, hard fight with cancer.
All Pam ever wanted to be was a mother.
And she was blessed with six wonderful children, who now are her legacy.
I think it's so important to have pictures of her around to help us remember her
and to help us teach our children who their "Grammy" was.
Here are a few pictures I scanned this morning of Pam.
...

This first picture was taken on Sean's baby blessing day.

I love this next picture.
Pam looks so happy.

I've always thought this picture of Pam doing dishes was cute.

This is Garth and Pam's engagement pictures.

Pam's high school senior picture.
I think Sean's younger sister, Andrea, looks so much like her.

The infamous jean family pictures.
I was dating Sean when these were taken.

The week before Pam passed away Sean took me to visit her in the hospice.
There was a garden outside.
I remember going outside and talking with Sean.
It was obviously and emotional time for him.
There was a poem engraved in a rock out there that brought comfort.
...
"God saw her getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He closed His arms around her,
And whispered come to me.

She did not deserve what she went through.
So He gave her peaceful rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He takes only the best."
