October 2016 - Pregnancy Announcement

Right around the time school started I found out I was pregnant.
This pregnancy was semi planned.
We knew we wanted another child but we weren't trying to have a baby just then.
When you find out your pregnant with your fifth kid it's so different then with your first.
Sean and I were both like "okay cool here we go again."
We are honestly so busy with the four kids that we already have
that we both don't have much time to think about the new baby yet.

I was extremely tired during my first trimester.
I blame part of that on the baby, but part on the fact that Ruby went through a few weeks of not sleeping through the night (teething) and on my two very busy callings.
I did throw up with this pregnancy but not as much as I did with Lexi or Ruby.
I did however get prescription nausea medicine for the first time.
It didn't help like I had hoped.
Morning sickness lasted until about 16 weeks.

I can't find the video of Sean telling the kids that I'm pregnant
but here are some pictures I took while he told them.
They aren't the best quality but you can see their reactions.
Lexi was over the moon excited.
Eli and Ruby had no clue what was going on.
And Avery was devastated when we told her the baby was due April 30th,
just two days after her birthday.

Lexi immediately ran to my stomach and started talking to the baby.

Avery ran to a corner and cried.
She's so worried that the baby will be born on her birthday and that we'll all forget about her.
I feel so bad for her.
Honestly, when I found out my due date I wasn't excited.
I am praying that this baby does not come on her birthday.

This time around we decided to do a genetic screening at 11 weeks.
The results came back at 12 weeks.
Here's Ruby holding the envelope with the results.
It's still so crazy to me that you can find out your baby's gender so early and with a blood test.

I immediately gave the results to the ladies at the service desk at Macey's.
They filled a bag with balloons for me. Pink for girl and blue for boy.
It was a fun way for all of us to find out the gender together.
I am too impatient right now to upload the video of us finding out.
So enjoy these pictures.

He is so excited that he's finally getting the baby boy that he's been talking about for a year now.

As I write this I'm already half way done with this pregnancy.
Our baby boy will be here in no time!
