Lexi's Choir Concert

Last Thursday night Lexi participated in the Christmas Choir Concert at school.
She's been staying after school every Thursday for months practicing.
Lexi was a snowman in the performance.
Here's some pictures I snapped of her before we left.

The sunset was gorgeous that night. I love the soft colors painted across the sky.

The choir was for first graders and up. Avery really wanted to be in it.
She was feeling a little left out so I took her picture too.

The story line of performance was that three kids who were going to the North Pole to visit Santa.
When they got close their GPS wasn't working so they were going to follow
the sound of Santa's jingle to find him.
But Santa lost his Christmas spirit this year.
So at one point the audience was asked to help the kids find Santa.
We were asked to jingle anything we had and compliment our neighbors.

I was sitting in only the third row back but I had a horrible view of Lexi.
Oh well. I could see her threw two ladies' heads.

Here's a few pictures I took after the performance...

Here's Lexi with some of our neighbors.

 Lexi, Trenna and Mandalyn

The next day the kids preformed again for the school at an assembly.
I went and watched Lexi again.

Santa Pictures 2015

At the beginning of the month, we had Santa pictures taken.
This was our third year doing them through Fotofly.
This time we went to their Kaysville location.
I wanted to do something different then the past two years, so this time we did church clothes.
And just like the last two years, I love the results!

It will be sad to me when my kids will be too old for Santa pictures.
I'm loving this tradition for as long as I can.
And I'm already starting to think about next years outfits...
...
And here's a few pictures that I took with my phone that day...
I timed pictures so that as soon as Ruby woke up, we'd feed her and dress her and go.
She wasn't so thrilled when I snapped a few pictures on the couch right before we left.
She still hadn't fully woken up yet.

Here's a picture of the kids with Santa Sean while we waited for our turn.
Notice Eli's forehead has his new scar and his weird bloody blister thing.
Plus his eye and nose he scratched up that morning!
Needless to say, I Potoshopped his face in the Santa pictures.

After we took our pictures. The kids met the real Santa.

Eli was already out of his church clothes at that point.
I didn't want him to get candy cane on his brand new white shirt.

Snow

We've had a lot of snow lately. The kids have loved it.
They get to play outside in it a lot more now that we live in a house.
I can stay inside with Ruby and just watch them from the window. It's awesome.

The week before Thanksgiving we got a freak snowstorm in our side of town.
Literally, it was just in he north east part of town.
And we got about a foot of snow in one day!
It caught us all by surprise.
On that same day, construction works cut a cable that cause the whole valley
to loose cell phone service and internet. It was really bad timing!

Just when almost all the snow from that storm had melted away another one hit this week.
Sunday night it started snowing and it didn't stop until Tuesday!
Monday got 14 inches of snow. But school wasn't delayed or canceled.
And Tuesday we got a two hour delay although we only got between 6-8 inches of snow.
...
Here's the girls ready for school on Monday.
Thankfully my neighbor took them to school because I couldn't get out of the driveway.
I have the best neighbors.
Several of them helped me clear my driveway. Tim let me borrow his snow blower on Monday.
And on Tuesday he came over and just cleared my driveway anonymously.
But I saw him from the window.
My neighbor James used his four  wheeler with a plow to help clear the pile of snow that a big snow plow made when it cleared the street.
And another neighbor with a plow on his pick up truck help clear the street in front of my house.

It's so funny watching the kids try to walk in the deep snow.

Ruby is happy watching from inside.

Sean cleared off the patio and Eli was thrilled to be driving his police car outside again.

I love the snow covered views from our house. We really do live in a winter wonderland!

I feel so lucky that my kids have so many friends that live right by us.
They've had so much fun playing together in the backyard in all the snow recently.

Here's some more pictures from inside my house.
