Sam's 29th Birthday

July 3rd was my 29th birthday.
Sean was so sweet to me.
He took the day off.
He let me sleep in and took all four kids out so I could nap.
He made all of our meals and changed all of the kids' diapers.
And I was spoiled.

The countdown to my 30th birthday has started!

Opal's Visit

My friend, Opal, from high school came to visit us at the end of June.
We love it when Opal comes to visit.
She's getting her PhD in Minnesota right now.
She's the best fake aunt.

Eli warmed up to Opal so fast. He still keeps asking for her and she's been gone for weeks.

Opal was with us on her 30th birthday.
So we threw her a tea party.

Opal and Ruby. The Gems!

It's always so great being with Opal again.
It doesn't matter how much time passes we instantly connect every time we're together.

7 Months Old

At the end of June, Ruby turned 7 months old.
At this age she was rolling over, could sit but would still tip over,
was eating three meals a day, still not sleeping through the night.

She's the best baby! Seriously. She's amazing.
She is so laid back, cheery and tolerates so much from her siblings.
We love her so much!

The Last Supper at Grammy's

Last month, Sean's Grammy's house was sold.
Before it closed we had one last super at her house.
It was weird knowing that we'd never go there again.
And it was weird seeing the place all empty.
But it was so fun getting together with family.

We have a lot of memories in this backyard.
Sean loved spending time there as a kid.

When Sean was a kid they would play this game called, Duck on a Rock, at Grammy's house.
Everyone played one last time.

Eli and Austin had a fun time wondering around the yard together.

Sean's cousin, Megan, has a foster daughter named Emerald.
So here's Ruby meeting Emerald.

We celebrated some summer birthdays.

And I made everyone take a group picture.

I also took a few pictures in front of the house before we left.

The kids thought it would be hilarious to be "Photo Bombers."
