Yesterday morning was Lexi's Kindergarten Open House.
Sean was working from home and took some time off so the whole family went.
Lexi's teacher is Mrs. Asay.
There are 12 boys and 12 girls in Lexi's class.
Lexi was thrilled to see her name next to a little girl named Sadie.
If you know Lexi (and Avery) then you know that she really, really, really wants a baby sister named Sadie.
...
Lexi's teacher had put Alexia on a few things because that is Lexi's full name.
Lexi thought about it for a while and after changing her mind a few times
she finally decided that she wanted to go by Lexi at school.
We got to explore the classroom.
Lexi thought it was the best and the biggest classroom ever!
There was a little scavenger hunt for the kids to do.
They got to play with blocks, paint, measure themselves, get their picture taken, make a name card,
and do a few other things.
Lexi's friend Janessa was there at the same time so I got a picture of these two friends together.
And here's Lexi with her teacher Mrs. Asay.
Notice Mrs. Asay's lanyard.
She's a BYU fan.
We like her more already.
Yesterday afternoon was Lexi's assessment with Mrs. Asay.
All day Lexi kept asking if it was time to go back to school, she was so excited.
Mrs. Asay said that Lexi did great and is ready for kindergarten!
I tried to be sneaky and get a picture of them.
Lexi was given her homework notebook for the year.
And she asked me last night if she could start on it right away.
We got Lexi's first Scholastic book order and already went online to order her some new books.
And we'll be ordering her a school shirt too.
There are so many things to remember already.
It's gonna be an exciting year for Lexi.
Now it's time to enjoy her last week before school starts next Friday.
