Two days after we got Fred and George, George very unexpectedly passed away.
He actually died on Ty's birthday.
Luckily Ty was too young to understand what was going on.
That morning Ruby and I held George and he seemed perfectly happy and normal.
That day was a short day at school so the kids played with him for several hours after school.
Then we went outside. An hour later we came inside and found George dead!
We were all SO surprised.
Poor Lexi was especially devastated.
We had a little funeral that evening.
So May 2nd, the day our bunny died was the same day of the battle at Hogwarts.
Which is the day Fred Weasley died.
And actually I wanted to name the white bunny Fred not George.
So our Weasley bunny died the same day as one of the Weasley twins.
So sad!
