We participated in a program called Live Fit put on by the county health department this summer.
The kids had to do different things to earn tags for their necklaces
and then that had to go to specific places all over town to get their tags.
Some of the things they did were help grow a garden, go on two local hikes, go on 5 bike rides,
learn about and take care of an animal, help grow garden and wash a car (inside and out).
Here the kids are going to the mayor's office to collect one of their tags.
If you earned all 15 tags, you were entered in a drawing.
Lexi won. she got a new scooter and helmet.
That was the exact scooter we were planning on buy Eli for his birthday. And we told Lexi that.
We made a deal. Lexi gave the scooter to Eli and we'd buy her a new bike.
Something we had been thinking about doing anyway.
Ruby went bike shopping with me and Lexi.
She asked for a bike. And I felt bad for her.
In July Avery got a new scooter and then in August Eli got a new scooter and Lexi got a new bike.
And she doesn't get a lot of new things being the third girl.
Here's some of the kids' artwork from August.
First up is Eli's picture of Lord Voldemort.
First up is Eli's picture of Lord Voldemort.
It might be my favorite picture that he's every made.
And here's a picture of Ginny and Luna that Lexi made.
Here's Avery's picture of Luna.
And here's a picture Avery made of herself as a wizard.
And here's Lexi's badger. She's one proud Hufflepuff.
The girls were looking around the house to find items that could be horcruxes
when they play Harry Potter. I love their creativity.
We were a few days late celebrating Harry Potter's birthday.
Lexi and Carrie did the cake this year.
Then Lexi convinced Carrie to take the Pottermore house quiz even
though she's not a Harry Potter fan. And she's a Hufflepuff.
Our sunflowers looked pretty sad. Sean and I were not impressed with them overall.
A few were picture worthy.
Here's the kids at their last day of the free summer lunch program.
The most exciting thing happened in August.
And I should probably have done a whole post about this but my pictures are already uploaded here.
THE GREENWOODS MOVED TO TOOELE!!!
We were so excited. They bought their house last summer but the timing was off.
So they rented out their house for a year and after the renters moved out they moved in.
I had a key of their house so I went and cleaned it up a little and bought them so food and toiletries.
And we got them so balloons and a plant to surprise them with when they moved in.
...
They got to Tooele just after 10:00 pm on a Sunday night.
I asked for help on our ward Facebook page. And several families came to help.
Even though they didn't know the Greenwoods. We just live by so many good people.
And we were able to unload their moving truck so fast!
The next day, I went and picked up David and Chelsi's kids and brought them over to play.
Lexi and Madi have known each other their whole life.
But they only sen each other for a few hours ever few years.
So they didn't really know each other well. But they instantly hit it off.
They were instant best friends!
They were instant best friends!
Avery is just a few months older than Marlie.
Ryker is actually closer to Ruby's age but Eli doesn't care. He wants to be friends with everyone.
Madi was a Harry Potter fan before
but since moving here and being friends with Lexi has made her obsessed.
We had Madi and Marlie both take the house quiz.
Madi is a Slytherin (like her dad) and Marlie is a Hufflepuff (like her mom).
So now Lexi has decided that not all Slytherins are evil.
That night we fed the Greenwoods dinner.
When David and Chelsi moved to Tooele their brother and sister moved in with them temporally.
David's brother Michael married Chelsi's sister Kayla.
Michael and Kayla stayed with David and Chelsi since Michael had just graduated from grad school and was working on taking a test before he started his new job in Colorado.
My girls all loved Clara. She's Michael and Kayla's baby.
My kids and our neighbor Sydnie Hansen made up a little play one day.
They preformed it for me. They were all poor pioneers. It was cute.
We worked on organized our garage in August.
We moved this shelf.
And we bought some nice heavy duty shelves.
We got grubs in our grass.
So we had to reseed in some areas.
David and Chelsi do pizza and a movie every Friday night.
David quickly set up their projector after they moved in.
My kids love going their on Friday nights now.
Here's pictures another time we were at the Greenwoods. Our families get along so well.
Lexi and Madi made flower crowns together one day.
Ty continued to love being outside anytime he could.
Here's Ty asleep on one of our walks to pick up the kids.
I walked the kids to school every morning and walked to pick them up as many afternoons as I could.
The kids had fun playing in the rain one afternoon.
Ruby often stays up later than Avery, Eli and Ty. Lexi goes to bed and reads.
And Ruby who is also a night owl, gets stories read to her or a night time snack. She's babied.
Lexi bought a Hufflepuff tie and Sean convinced her to let him wear it to church.
Then he teased her that he was a bigger Hufflepuff then she was.
One day Ty figured out how to use a spoon to get ice to come out of the ice maker on the freezer.
We discovered a new favorite YouTube channel. Twenty Trucks. It's the boy's favorite.
The girl's got Hufflepuff scarves. Lexi started wearing it instantly even though it was still hot.
We started going on more family walks at night.
I love the views by our house.
Lexi and Avery went to our stake activity day camp.
There were several activities that the girls would rotate through in groups.
They had a lot of fun. And I got to help out because I'm in our ward primary presidency.
It was fun seeing both my big girls there.
One Sunday Ty wasn't acting very energetic. By the third hour of church he was done.
Sean was standing in the back on the primary room during Senior Primary holding Ty.
Ty ended up throwing up all over himself and Sean and the carpet.
I took Ty to the bathroom and undressed him and took him home.
When Sean came home from church he found me and Ty cuddling.
Then the sickness spread quickly through our family.
We did realize then but we had the Norovirus.
One night Chelsi brought us dinner.
The kids wanted to do a Harry Potter theme for Halloween.
So I bought a bunch of school uniform piece on sale at the start of the school year.
These made great Hogwarts school uniforms and church outfits after Halloween.
I have no clue why Avery is wearing this outfit but I think it's hilarious.
Ruby drew this picture and then asked me to take a picture of it.
