Avery won a free ticket to Tracy Aviary through the summer reading program.
A week before she won it, my friend Erin was telling me that with her pass there,
she could get me and 4 of my kids in for free.
With that and Avery's ticket, we all got in free.
We got there a little bit before Erin and her kids.
The Aviary is connected to Liberty Park which has a few little rides.
So I let the kids pick what they wanted to ride.
My kids have never been to an amusement park so little rides like these make them happy.
Right before the swings started, the conductor told the kids that if they screamed stop,
he would stop the ride.
Avery screamed stop over and over once they started swinging.
He didn't stop the ride and she eventually calmed down and enjoyed it.
Meanwhile, I was laughing because I'm a mean mom.
The Russell's showed up and we went to the Aviary.
I didn't bring a stroller for Ty and he loved the freedom.
The kids liked the birds but really just loved all the areas for play.
It was a fun afternoon before friends.
